It's Time For Registration

Brevard Christian Home Educators and Christian Heritage Academy are now accepting registration paperwork and fees for the 2013-2014 school year.

• Be sure to bring your General Mills Boxtops (Please check expiration dates!!)
• Please check the Admin & Fees tab for exact cost of registration for your family.
• If you have questions please contact us at 454-2445.
• BCHE returning members have a $20.00 late fee charge if they register after August 31st.

Understanding My Child's Test Results

The Stanford Achievement Test scores for the recent end of year testing will be available to you in the near future. As these results can be puzzling, I have invited two of our veteran homeschool mothers, Lisa Liffrig and Carol Chambers, to help "demystify" the test reports.

Lisa is completing her homeschooling career within her family this year, as the Liffrigs' younger daughter, Drew will be graduating. She had also taught their older daughter Taite. Lisa has worked with BCHE, served on its Board, taught at Co-op, and held a position within an umbrella school. She is a Florida certified teacher in elementary school and middle school math (gr 6-9), and she does portfolio evaluations for families. She can be contacted at liffrigl@bellsouth.net or 321-759-4101. Some good news is that, she plans to continue teaching at co-op, doing homeschool evaluations and consulting with parents who would like information about graduation requirements, classes, credits, transcripts, etc., so her homeschooling career is not really over.

Carol Chambers has educated the Chambers' two children, Michael and Kyrsten, from elementary age through high school. She is a former chair-person of the BCHE Board, Co-op teacher, and Co-op Coordinator, in addition to being a certified testing administrator with Bob Jones Testing and Evaluation Service.

Lisa's information is specific to the Stanford Test, while Carol is addressing the OLSAT portion of the report, with some addition general information. It is always a blessing when those who have gone before us on the homeschool path, share from their wealth of knowledge and experience. Thank you so much Lisa and Carol.
